What is the Resource Hub?

The Resource Hub is a reference library for anyone building with Claude Code or Claude Desktop — guides, workspace setups, templates, and downloadable resource packs.

Welcome to the GenAI Skills Resource Hub

This Resource Hub is a practical reference library for business owners and professionals who are using Claude -- or thinking seriously about it. Whether you have just signed up for Claude for the first time, or you have been using it for months and want to go deeper, this is where the structured guidance lives.

Unlike a blog or a course, the Hub is a reference tool. You do not need to read it from beginning to end. Use the sidebar on the left to navigate to whatever is most relevant right now, and come back for other sections as your needs develop.

What you will find here

  • Claude Desktop guides -- How to set up and configure the desktop application, organise your workspace, and use projects effectively. Claude Desktop is the standard way most people use Claude day-to-day.
  • Claude Code guides -- Claude Code (Anthropic's command-line tool) lets Claude read files, run commands, and work directly inside your business systems. These guides are more technical but are written to be accessible to non-developers.
  • Workspace setups -- Ready-made configurations for common use cases: solo worker, small team, client-facing services. Each setup includes a folder structure, recommended files, and configuration instructions.
  • Templates and prompt packs -- Reusable prompts, CLAUDE.md starter files, and checklists from GenAI Skills Academy workshops. These are practical tools you can put to work immediately.
  • Glossary -- Plain-English definitions of every technical term used across the Hub. If you encounter an unfamiliar word anywhere on the site, the glossary is the place to look it up.
  • Resource packs -- Downloadable collections of workshop materials. Enter your email once to unlock all packs. If you are already a GenAI Skills Academy subscriber, access is granted automatically.

How the Hub is organised

The sidebar groups content into sections. Each section covers a distinct part of working with Claude:

  • Getting started -- Orientation, navigation help, and the core concepts you need before anything else makes sense.
  • Components -- The individual building blocks of a Claude setup: CLAUDE.md files, memory, skills, hooks, and more. Each component has its own guide.
  • Workspace setups -- Full configurations for specific working contexts. Start here if you want a complete setup rather than individual components.
  • Resource packs -- Downloadable workshop materials organised by topic.
  • Glossary -- Definitions for all technical terms.

Who created this and why

The Hub is produced by Larry Maguire and the GenAI Skills Academy. Larry is a researcher, writer, and trainer who works with business owners and teams on practical AI adoption -- not the hype, the actual day-to-day integration of tools like Claude into real workflows.

The GenAI Skills Academy runs live workshops, online programmes, and a free community (on Skool) focused specifically on helping non-technical professionals use AI effectively. The Hub is the permanent, searchable home for everything taught across those programmes.

Where to start

If you are brand new to Claude

Start with the Getting Started section. Read "What is Claude Code?" and "What is Claude Desktop?" to understand the two tools and which one applies to you. Then come back here and work through the Components section in order.

If you are already using Claude Desktop and want to do more with it

Jump to the Components section and start with CLAUDE.md files. That is the single highest-leverage improvement most users can make -- giving Claude persistent instructions so you stop repeating yourself in every conversation.

If you want to automate business processes with Claude

Go to Workspace Setups and pick the configuration closest to your situation. These are pre-built environments you can adapt rather than build from scratch. If you have a small team, start with the Solo Worker setup even if you are not solo -- it is the simplest foundation to build from.
